Dr.Koizumi reported on the Ki energy

On November 19 through 21,1999 the 3rd World congress was held at the Golden Gateway Holiday Inn in San Francisco. Several hundred Qigong researchers, Qigong masters, and Qigong practitioners gathered and each the assembly hall was filled with huge excitement.

The congress is held every other year, Mr katsumi Niikura (resident in Michigan), who received the Ki master of the Year award in USA at the 2nd World Qigong Congress 2 years ago, made a demonstration of Ki and held a workshop of Ki for 3 days. It was a very popular event.

In particular on the 20th, Dr Hisako koizumi, a psychiatrist professor at ohio State University, presented a report in which she measured the amount of Ki energy Mr Niikura generated using a device called EDST(Electro Dermal Screen Test). EDST is a device in which the energy amount of each visceral organ is detected by electrically measuring the flow of bodily energy at the acupuncture points on the limbs. In this report, the results of 2 groups are shown. In group(1), the patient received Ki from Mr. Niikura , and the change in the amount of energy before and after receiving Ki energy was measured. In group(2), the patient practiced to generate Ki by himself through the breathing method under the guidance of Mr.niikura, and the change in the amount of energy before practice and after 2 hours of practice was measured.

The number of trial cases was 8 , including Mr. Niikura. In all cases, the evidence of energy increase were clearly observed.

Dr. Koizumi mentioned that this was only an initial report and it would be necessary to increase the number of cases. Also, she mentioned that it would be necessary to measure the energy increase under the condition in which the patient was unaware of application of Ki to him. However,she concluded that an increase in the good energy level was evident by the application of Ki to the patient.
